Is the goth scene in TX exclusive to big cities like Dallas and Austin etc? I live in a trash city that's like 2 hrs away from the bigger cities and there's really no goth/alternative people here where I live. It's frustrating to see the scene and want to be apart of it but I am not going to drive all the way there and back especially since I have 12hr shifts to get back too. I mostly hangout alone at the local cemetery and sometimes I stop by bars when they have "themed" nights but since it's Texas most people are not very welcoming to others who don't fit their "image." I was just wondering if anyone is having the same problem and how to maybe meet other people who share the goth subculture. Halloween is coming up soon and it'd be nice to share it with others who enjoy the same things.

A friend of mine who was nearing eldergoth status back when I was a baby bat (22 years ago!!) was making great, fun, spooky music then and is STILL at it. Friendship aside, this album is on heavy rotation for me right now.

I want to become more connected with an irl community, but it can be a bit hard to find anything in this part of the country sometimes.. Any help from someone with experience would be appreciated!

Hiii everyone I’m having a really hard time meeting other gothic people Specifically people that know about the culture, music, literature, & WHAT GOTH FASHION ACTUALLY IS I hate to sound like a pompis bastard but I tend to meet alt people who are only alt due to recent trends. And when we talk about music people like pierce the veil tend to come up 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧as ….goth music snd it makes me wanna rip my hair out don’t get me wrong a very long time ago I was emo/scene but mind you I was 12 at the time. Bring a 21 year old goth that has been involved in the scene for a really long time due to my older sister being a late 80s/90s goth. I don’t want to make it seam like I’m discriminating on anyone I have friends of all styles but I’m a bit of the odd one out and not saying that’s an issue either I just wanna find more people of similar taste 😭😭😭😭sorry for my rant this was probably not cohesive at all 🤣

Any goths or alternative people in this part of Texas? Specifically around Tyler, Longview, Mount Pleasant, Texarkana, and the areas in between?

Additionally did any of you go to the Vampire Ball in Tyler the other day?
